Tony Busseri leads the management team in executing Route1’s strategic vision. Busseri is an entrepreneurial executive with a track record of producing results and shareholder value. He is committed to delivering Route1 solutions to customers and advancing excellence in the organization.
Busseri leverages his experience as a former principal of Growth Equity Partners, a full service business advisory firm focused on supporting small to medium-sized private and publicly listed companies execute transformational business initiatives.
Previously, Busseri served as a member of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of EnGlobe Corp. from 2004 to 2008, and Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of Waste Services Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Busseri is a graduate of the HBA program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
As Route1’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Peter Chodos leads Route1’s acquisition growth and other strategic initiatives, assisting in the execution of important operational tasks and managing capital market relationships including debt funders. He also serves as a Board Director with Route1.
From August 2016 to October 2022, he was Route1’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and served on its Board of Directors. From September 2009 to August 2016, he was an independent member of Route1’s Board of Directors, serving as the Company’s Chair of the Compensation Committee and as a member of the Company’s Audit Committee.
Mr. Chodos has over 40 years of experience in capital markets, including private and public financings of debt and equity as well as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He received his Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
As Chief Technology Officer at Route1, Alex Shpurov is responsible for Route1’s R&D activities and driving product innovation.
Shpurov brings more than 25 years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions in multiple domains including blockchain, information security and artificial intelligence with a strong focus on the finance, banking and capital markets verticals.
Shpurov was previously with Route1 from 2008 to 2012 as Principal Java Platform Developer and, as a result, is very familiar with Route1’s flagship technology MobiKEY powered by MobiNET.
Jerry Iwanski has played a key role in Route1’s innovation, technology and product development. He is the co-inventor of Route1 patents and has architected and led the implementation of Route1’s MobiNET and DEFIMNET service delivery platforms.
Iwanski is responsible for the continuous upgrading of Route1 internal systems and the management of the Route1 systems integration technology team.
Iwanski was named Route1’s Chief Operating Officer in November 2021. He was Chief Digital Officer from 2013 to 2021, and was previously the company’s CTO from 2004 to 2011. Iwanski held various technology consulting and solution architect roles, including at Fujitsu Consulting from 2001 to 2004; Sphere Logic Corp. from 1996 to 2001; and Delrina (now Symantec) from 1993 to 1995. Iwanski attended Yale University and McMaster University for computer science.
