Mesa PD Community Connect Launch
In May, the Mesa Police Department launched its state-of-the-art Real-Time Crime Center.
This is the next step for the City of Mesa AZ as they work to become a true smart city. Mesa PD has adopted some of the most advanced real-time technologies to improve its public safety response strategies, and Route1 is thrilled to be a large part of its next initiative.
Mesa PD is working with the businesses in the City of Mesa on a public-private community partnership blending real-time crime-fighting and community policing with state-of-the-art technology to keep the city safe.
Utilizing Genetec Stratocast™ and Community Connect, a cloud-based video management system, local businesses and community members can provide real-time access to police and fire departments as they respond to an in-progress crime or emergency on their premises.
How does it work?

Q: Can I use my existing surveillance (CCTV) cameras?
A: While not all cameras are compatible, there is a very good chance that you will be able to use your existing cameras
Q: How will I be able to share my video with Mesa PD?
A: Through an application called Security Center by Genetec. We will help train you in how to access your footage and share either past footage or a live stream with Mesa PD
Q: Will everyone be able to see my video footage?
A: No. Only you and, when you give them access, Mesa PD will be able to view your surveillance footage.
Q: Can I stop streaming my video?
A: Yes. You will have complete control over when you share your video footage. You can easily give and revoke access to your video surveillance footage.
