MobiKEY 5.0, MobiNET Agent 5.0
- Remote Assets running Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan are now supported. macOS operating systems now supported by MobiKEY for Remote Assets include: 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite and 10.11 El Capitan.
- Remote Assets running Windows 10 are now supported. Windows operating systems now supported by MobiKEY for Remote Assets include: Windows XP – 32 bit, Windows Vista – 32 and 64 bit, Windows 7, 8.0, 8.1 and 10 – 32 and 64 bit.
- Host Assets running Windows 10 are now supported. Windows operating systems now supported by MobiKEY for Host Assets include: Windows Vista – 32 and 64 bit, Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 – 32 and 64 bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 – 64 bit and Windows Server 2012 R2 – 64 bit.
- Remote audio support for users connecting from Remote Assets using macOS 10.10 or higher macOS operating systems to Host Assets with the MobiNET Agent software version 5.0 installed. Remote audio support was first promoted for MobiKEY 4.4 users connecting from a Windows Remote Asset.
- Remote Assets running Linux Mint, Fedora, Ubuntu and CentOS operating systems are now supported (MobiKEY Fusion3 and MobiKEY Classic 3 (MC3) devices only).
- The following policies are not supported when using Remote Assets running Linux operating systems – Secure Remote Printing, Secure Storage and Secure Remote Scanning.
- Remote audio support is not available when using Remote Assets running Linux operating systems.
- Bootable MobiKEY is now an available feature for Remote Assets that permit booting from an external USB device (MobiKEY Fusion3 and MC3 devices only). Bootable MobiKEY is a security feature built into the MobiKEY Fusion3 and MC3 devices that provide the user the option to boot from the MobiKEY device, thus bypassing the Remote Asset’s existing operating system.
- The following policies are not supported when using Bootable MobiKEY – Secure Remote Printing, Secure Storage and Secure Remote Scanning.
- Remote audio support is not available when using Remote Assets running Bootable MobiKEY.
- Secure Storage is now an available policy option. This policy option provides an encrypted partition available for secure file storage on the MobiKEY Fusion3 and MC3 devices, encrypted to the user’s PIV, CAC or embedded smart card. The encrypted partition only becomes accessible after successful authentication.
- This policy option is not available on Remote Assets running Windows XP, Windows Vista, Linux, Bootable MobiKEY or macOS operating systems.
- Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is now supported. IPv6 is the most recent version of the Internet Protocol (IP), the communications protocol that provides an identification and location system for computers on networks and routes traffic across the Internet.
